April New Moon in Aries: Eris & Chiron

Reflecting on what was happening at that time in history, what seemed most pertinent for me was the rise of the Witch trials in the late medieval and early modern period. From 1400- 1175 CE 100000 people were prosecuted, and many persecuted from practicing so-called Witchcraft. Most were women, most were over 40. Having recently been involved in a body of work on “The Alchemy of Menopause”, and as a woman myself currently navigating menopause, I find it interesting if not disturbing how the “older” woman has been viewed, feared, rejected, and punished in our patriarchal culture. It begs the question why.

Ted Kaczynski & the Modification of Humanity

The very advancements that Ted Kaczynski warned us about are the new tools of control; today there is no need for cold war brainwashing techniques, the topography of our soul has been well charted. And yet… somethings remain sacred, impenetrable, governed by laws and codes out with the jurisdiction of even the most powerful men of the technocratic world.

Pisces New Moon/ Vernal Equinox 2026: Liberation Through Differentiation

I have no doubt that on some subtle, unspoken level I was assigned the role of lineage bearer and cycle breaker, however it is time to free myself from the weight of this obligation. I do not resent the role I was given, nor do I hold any resentment towards my family. There is nothing to forgive; all of us, each one, had a role to play, each one guided by his or her soul. I feel only love and compassion for us all, and yes, some sadness too for what we have endured.

Nessus Conjunct the Sun: The Sins of the Fathers.

In approaching material frozen in time, we can like Perseus, survive being turned to stone under Medusa’s petrifying gaze, by approaching slowly, indirectly, cautiously, patiently, and symbolically…through the looking glass. If our approach is correct, we can release trapped inspiration and creativity that has been trapped in the unconscious for aeons.

ATHENA, C.1923 (OIL ON CANVAS) - FRANZ VON STUCK

Pallas Athene: Reclaiming Archaic Feminine Wisdom in the Age of the Father.

While the howl of the “wild feminine” is returning to our eco-psychic structures, Kerényi, highlights how Athene transforms “darker animal nature” into civilized forms. He frames Athene as a “protectress against the ravaging impulse of archaic elements.” Her role as teacher of crafts offers practical application of intelligence used to harness and contain lawless dark powers.

Wisdom & The Naked Truth: Original Image: Pallas Athena (German: Pallas Athene) is an oil painting created by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt in 1898.

Sun Conjunct Pallas Athene: Holding the Mirror of Naked Truth.

On her breastplate Pallas Athene wears the slain head of the Gorgon Medusa, indicating that she has integrated the hidden, mystical, and dark aspects of the feminine. She contains within her the power of the serpent mysteries. While the serpent is one of her totems, so too is the owl; this speaks to her ability to see in the dark. Knowing the secrets of the dark alongside her ability for pattern recognition and mental agility, Pallas is protected against negative unconscious and subconscious influence. Pallas is not easily played.

The Way of the Serpent: Meeting the Goddess in the Landscape.

Stretching into the circle on either side of the centre where once there would have been a circular cairn, shadows from the flanking stones resembled a pointer on a dial. From the centre (marked by a small stone slab) the two shadow pointers were at 11 and 1. As the sun moves across the sky, I imagine that both shadows intersect at the central point depending on the time of year.

Andrew Mountbatten- Windsor: The Myth of the Bad Seed.

Personally, I feel that the designated roles of victim and perpetrator are much more complex and fluid than a straight off polarisation, however I have found that Nessus and Dejanira, particularly when viewed in intergenerational astrology, and synastry, do point to ingrained themes of abuse and victimisation. Often, this is not cold and calculated abuse but the insidious flowing of repeated trauma through the DNA and bloodlines. That is until someone is designated to bring the shadow material to light. As the astrologer and author Melanie Reinhart (who has written about Nessus) says, the motto for Nessus is “The buck stops here”.

Lilith, Saturn & The Moon Landing

It is interesting then, that at the moment of a masonic ritual involving the Cross of Salem, Saturn who among other things represents patriarchal authority, is in a conjunction with asteroid Lilith, she-devil of the Talmud. Symbolically this can be seen as a clash between rebellious, untamed and feminine instincts and structural patriarchal authority. It could also represent a symbolic take over.
