Thanks for this thoughtful piece on Chiron, Karen. I too have been reflecting on my wounds with Chiron transiting my IC with a growing curiosity about ancestral wounds.

During my Chiron return aged 50, I spent a year supporting my mother before she died after she had a serious car accident. It was a difficult time but also some of the sweetest spent with her where I felt that she was able to ‘see me’, after a life of feeling invisible. I was present at her passing and it was a real gift to be there at that time. A week later I stopped smoking and committed to end other self sabotaging behaviour that over the years cost me friends, a home, job and my self respect. As you say, what’s done is done and can’t be undone, but even as I write this there is still some sense of loss about the life that I traded to block out the pain. As this full moon in Aquarius at 27 degrees shines a light on my natal Chiron at 28 degrees, forgiveness feels the right thing to do.

Hi Sharyn, I am revisiting this post after a year, and I see that I never replied to your beautiful, open comment. One year on, I am wishing you well in your continued journey of healing and forgiveness.
