Join me for an insightful exploration of the permeability in women. We will reflect on whether we have permeable, porous, or empathic traits and discuss how this may change during times of transition, and particularly during menopause.

This workshop is for 2 hours on-line and is also open to women who are not enrolled in the “Alchemy of Menopause” course.Working with alchemy, myth and astrology we will consider the condition of our own boundaries and look at how this might show up in the astrology chart.In using the alchemical process as a symbol for midlife transition, we are exploring the ways we have been affected, influenced and shaped by others. How permeable we are or have been in our life will speak to this. As in alchemy, substances merge, dissolve, blend and separate to create new forms.In our group work, we are just past the *separation *and *conjunction *stage; the separating of things into their differentiated state, that is, what belongs to me and what have I taken on from others. This includes false stories and the like, or things we have carried for others. When this has been established, what remains as essential is reconfigured into a new form. The new form is the self that is in the process of becoming during the menopausal years. If we have been porous and permeable in our life; if other people or our environment has exerted an undue influence on us, or if we have tended to attract narcissistic type people, menopause is a time to create clear boundaries. This is intimately connected with how much we value ourselves. Part of the alchemy of menopause is purification; what remains at an essential level when we are rinsed by our soul’s own truth. While the crack may be the place the light gets in, it is also the place where other people’s darkness can enter. However that may also point to where we still need to heal.
