Solar Return: Journey Round the Sun

As the Sun is very close to returning to the exact degree of my natal Sun, I had a peek at my Solar Return Chart (SR chart).

 

What is a Solar return chart?

 

The SR chart is calculated for the exact moment that the Sun returns to its natal position. It is set to the location where you will be at that moment. It is a forecast of the general outlook for the coming year. Like a horary the SR chart makes predictions based on the quality of time that the chart is drawn. It is predictive and divinatory in nature though only for the coming year- from one birthday to the next.

 

The SR chart points to where the action and the energy of the year are based on the houses and signs. Of importance are the sign of the ascendant, and placement of the Sun and Moon. Any planets conjunct or in aspect to the angles are also significant.

My SR chart:

 

Pluto is at 29 Capricorn in an exact conjunction with the ascendant; Sun is in the 12th; Moon conjunct MC; south node conjunct natal moon/ IC; north node conjunct natal MC.

 

The Key word I feel is “Transformation”. Not necessarily easy but I am looking forward to it. Things may look very different this time next year… and I may even look physically different.
